Screening & Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)
Routine GDM screening is performed for all expectant mothers between 24–28 weeks using the 75g Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT / DIPSI guidelines). Fasting, 1-hour, and 2-hour plasma glucose levels are measured to ensure early detection.
Personalized Maternal Nutrition & Monitoring
Most GDM cases can be controlled through structured meal planning (low glycemic index complex carbs, adequate protein, split meals) and daily self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) logbooks reviewed during prenatal visits.
Medical Insulin Therapy & Fetal Wellbeing
If diet alone does not maintain target blood sugar levels (Fasting < 95 mg/dL, 2-hr Postmeal < 120 mg/dL), safe pregnancy-approved insulin therapy is initiated alongside regular serial growth ultrasound scans and Non-Stress Tests (NST).
